J.P. Morgan Presents Third Annual Robin Hood Investors Conference

Conference Brings Finance Visionaries Together, Raises Over 15 Million Since its 2013 Inception to Fight Poverty in New York City

November 18, 2015 (New York, NY) – Robin Hood, New York City’s largest poverty-fighting organization, held its third annual Investors Conference yesterday. Presented by J.P. Morgan and hosted by Hyatt at Grand Hyatt New York in midtown Manhattan, the event brought investment and business luminaries in finance, real estate, policy, technology, retail, energy and other sectors together to share insights into their shifting industries and the road ahead. The conference has raised $15 million since its inception, which goes to the 200+ organizations Robin Hood supports. These groups are the most effective soup kitchens, homeless shelters, schools and job-training programs in New York City.

"Our sponsors are incredibly generous and for that generosity we’re eternally grateful," said David Saltzman, executive director of Robin Hood. "We’ve been working with J.P. Morgan for more than two decades and their support makes a tremendous, continuous difference in the lives of the 1.8 million New Yorker living in poverty."

J.P. Morgan launched the inaugural Robin Hood Investors Conference in 2013 and has sponsored the event annually. Robin Hood contributes 100% of the money raised through ticket sales to the programs it supports.

"We are proud of our strong partnership with Robin Hood over the last 20 years," said Mary Callahan Erdoes, CEO of J.P. Morgan Asset Management. “Together with Robin Hood, J.P. Morgan has funded truly transformative programs that give workers necessary skills, train teachers, educate children, provide critical disaster relief and so much more. Every dime Robin Hood receives goes directly to those in need."

The two-day conference was organized by Robin Hood Board members Mary Callahan Erdoes, CEO of J.P. Morgan Asset Management; John Griffin, founder and president of Blue Ridge Capital; Philippe Laffont, founder and CEO of Coatue Management, Daniel Loeb, founder and CEO of Third Point and Barry Sternlicht, chairman and CEO of Starwood Capital Group.
