JPMorgan Chase Pledges Donations to Assist Relief Efforts in Western Japan

The firm pledged US $100,000.

July 11, 2018 – JPMorgan Chase today pledged US $100,000 to assist with relief efforts following the devastating floods and landslides triggered by rainfall in western Japan.

We hope our support will contribute toward the recovery efforts on the ground that can effectively provide relief to the communities that have been heavily impacted by this terrible event.

“It is heartbreaking to see the devastation across western Japan following the deadly flooding and landslides over the weekend,” Steve Rinoie, Senior Country Officer, Japan, said in a message to employees. “Our thoughts are with our employees who live or have families in the area, our customers and the communities.”

“We know it will be a long road to recovery and are committed to standing by the communities until they are back on their feet following this tragedy.”
